To facilitate the repair, maintenance and conversion of vessels, marine engineers are continually looking for ways to streamline processes with the use of new technologies. In pursuit of this objective, machinists in shipyards and on vessels are increasingly opting to use portable machine tools to address site-specific challenges in ship repair as well as to make repairs with greater integrity and ease than was formerly possible.
